Frequently Asked Questions

What are Hair Systems?

Hair systems are a modern, non-surgical solution designed to restore the look of natural hair with incredible realism. Using lightweight, breathable bases and high-quality human hair, today’s systems are virtually undetectable when professionally fitted and maintained. Whether you’re experiencing thinning, hair loss, or simply want to enhance your current style, a hair system can be fully customised to suit your density, colour, hairline, and personal preferences to create a result that looks and feels like your own hair.

How long do Hair Systems last?

The lifespan of a hair system depends on the base type, lifestyle, and how well it’s maintained. Our systems us a Skin (poly) base which increases lifespan up to 6 months. With excellent care, some systems may last even longer. Because hair systems are worn daily and exposed to washing, styling, friction, and natural oils, they are considered a semi-permanent solution and will need replacing over time to maintain the best appearance.

How often does the Hair System need refitting?

Refitting appointments are usually required every 3–4 weeks. Similar to a regular haircut.

During a refit, we:

  • Safely remove the system

  • Cleanse the scalp and hair system

  • Reapply fresh bond

  • Re-style and refine the hairline

Regular maintenance keeps the system secure, hygienic, and looking its best.

Can you live normally with a Hair System?

Absolutely. Once fitted and secured correctly, hair systems are designed to move with you and suit your lifestyle.

You can:

  • Exercise and go to the gym

  • Sleep in it

  • Shower and wash your hair

  • Style it as you would natural hair

  • Go swimming (with the right aftercare)

They are made to be lived in — not taken on and off daily. With proper bonding and maintenance, your system will stay secure and natural-looking throughout everyday activities.

How long is an appointment?

Your initial consultation will take 30 minutes and you can expect the fitting appointment to last up to 2 hours.
